History

The Hotel was originally built in the late 1960s. Purchased in 1971 by Anna Maria and Franco Chiappetta, who launched it onto the international tourism market with the prestigious name Hotel Ritz, which in the hotel industry is synonymous with exclusive stays, renowned hospitality and exquisite amenities.

The Hotel has over the years hosted many well-known guests ranging from jet-setters to showbiz stars and Italian entrepreneurs, spending relaxing days in the poolside gazebos, enjoying elegant candlelit soirees in evening wear and after-dinner entertainment with a choice of cocktails.

It was a world full of charm, with guests who had become friends and who met up every year. The Hotel Ritz was an unmissable summer rendezvous. With holidays even being chronicled in the high society columns of Veneto newspapers by journalists.

The hotel went from Ritz to Rex and reluctantly closed its doors in the year 2000. Now, the second generation of the Chiappetta family, together with its new management, has decided to breathe new life into it. It’s no coincidence that it has been renamed LIFE Hotel, with its modern renovations that are still in keeping with the spirit of the past. LIFE Hotel is sensitive to present-day environmental needs and takes care of the smallest details, mirroring a heartfelt nostalgia for those summer seasons experienced as children with sparkling eyes and a sense of chivalry.
