Bibione. Happy to accommodate every wish.

Bibione is a tourist destination that never ceases to amaze.

The landscape is shaped by the magical fusion of the Adriatic Sea’s salty waters, the Tagliamento River’s fresh waters and the brackish waters of the lagoon. Its name derives from the ancient Roman name “Insulae Bibioni”, which referred to islands connected to the lagoon by a thin strip of land.

The resort is synonymous with eco-sustainable tourism, not only because it was the first tourist resort in Europe to obtain EMAS Environmental Certification, but also because its offering is varied, wide-ranging and attractive.

It caters for the most wide-ranging needs: those who want to relax but also enjoy themselves, those who want to get back into fitness and enjoy a spa treatment in the thermal centre of Bibione, those who love cycling vacations, those who want to immerse themselves in unspoilt nature or explore the historical sites inland.

Its golden beach is easily accessible and equipped with the most modern facilities and services. With free entertainment activities and certified swimming waters that have a gently sloping seabed, it is particularly ideal for children and their grandparents.

In Bibione, you can broaden your personal horizons, indulge in your passions, and enrich your quality of life: in every season and at all ages, with a range of offers that are updated annually.

Fitness

The Life Hotel has an affiliation with the BikeWalking and Golf Product Clubs, offering special services and discounts to guests.

There are many activities to enjoy in the open air and by the sea: from beach volleyball to beach tennis and soccer, swimming to sailing, windsurfing and kayaking, from SUP to long casting, including Nordic Walking, jogging, horse riding, paddling, tennis and golf. Guided underwater excursions are also available to explore Bibione’s seabed.

Spa treatment

Life Hotel is a member of the Terme Product Club and offers special discounts to its guests.

The thermal waters of the Bibione Thermal Baths gush out a short distance from the sea at a temperature of 50° C and are used for hydrotherapy treatments recognised as effective by the Ministry of Health. The treatments include mud therapy, hydrokinesitherapy, massage therapy and a rehabilitation programme for all ages, including children, who receive specific treatments mainly for respiratory diseases.

The treatments are affiliated with the National Health Service and also offer EU citizens the opportunity to have their medical expenses reimbursed, under European Directive 24/2011.

The Wellness area and the SPA Beauty Centre offer packages with personalised treatments dedicated to beauty and renewed well-being.

Cycling vacations

We offer our guests free guidebooks with information, maps and routes, as well as a small workshop and a safe place to store your bike.

If you arrive without a bike, there’s no problem: a large fleet of bicycles, including electric bikes, is available to guests.

There are about 50 km of cycle paths – from dirt roads suitable for mountain bike enthusiasts to easier routes for families with children – of which over 20 km run parallel to the road in Bibione, while the remainder allows you to explore the resort, like the beach and the characteristic dunes, the pine forest, the lighthouse, the mouth and banks of the Tagliamento river. The fishing valleys of the lagoon and the green countryside inland are also accessible.

The offer also includes bike + boat excursions to discover nature reserves towards Venice and Trieste.

Unspoilt nature

Bibione offers nature that can be experienced along pedestrian and cycle paths which reveal waters of diverse origins. Each of these features creates extraordinary landscapes and life to be treasured: we are talking about riversea and lagoon waters, navigable waterways and a thermal spring that fuse seamlessly into a universe of life, ecology and wellbeing. Joined together in one of the most striking natural landscapes rich in biodiversity in the Upper Adriatic.

Microcosms of colour and light, reed beds and picturesque thatched huts, flights of herons and pink flamingos, with a peaceful pace. And yet close to its golden sandy beach, the finest and most of all integrated into the natural habitat, since it is produced exclusively from Dolomite sand, carried down to the sea by the Tagliamento River.

Historical sites

There is a rich cultural heritage to be found inland, from the Roman and medieval archaeological finds in Concordia Sagittaria to the small churches, villas and abbeys along the Wine Route. There are also Venetian and Renaissance palaces in Portogruaro, “the little Venice on dry land”, where you can set off to discover the ancient Via dei Mulini, or go to the village of Cordovado with its castle, considered one of the most beautiful in Italy. Also of interest are the Abbey of Sesto al Reghena and the nearby cities of Venice, Treviso, Padua, Vicenza and Verona.
